There are many books for those in the adoption triad. Books on the adoption triangle, adoption wisdom, journeys after adoption, birthmother's stories, growing up adopted, for children, for adoptive parents, how to search, reunion: what might happen, literary anthologies, policy, and general are but a few topics we have chose to highlight.
We recognize that there are many quality books out there, and strive to be inclusive, so we created a few lists. For simplicity sake, we have separated our book lists into two. Ellen's book list is more of a seminal works list, a must read list by topic. While PACER's broad book list is more of a laundry list.
As time goes on we hope to include more indepth reviews. In Ellen's list, she has included brief descriptions of the books.
Our therapist list is a list of Bay Area therapists with adoption triad experience. PACER does not endorse any therapist on the list, nor is their inclusion on our list a recommendation. We recommend you do your own research in able to find the best therapist for your particular situation. Our list is meant to be a tool to help you with your research.
